About MeMy Story
Elizabeth Dalla Bona
My name is Elizabeth Dalla Bona. I was born and raised in LaSalle, Ontario. I now live in Windsor, Ontario with my 5-year-old cockapoo, Gracie. I graduated with an honour’s degree in Fine Art from the University of Windsor in 2015. After graduation, I started a position with a local financial institution, where I worked for 7 years before going back to school.
Throughout my life, I have always taken advantage of opportunities to help and teach others. Throughout my teen years, I was a competitive figure skater, and every Saturday and Sunday morning was dedicated to teaching Can-Skate (a skill-level based program for children to learn to ice skate). When I was in post-secondary school, I taught art classes for children at a local community centre. After graduation, when I started working for the financial institution, I began teaching and training the new staff. Getting myself into a position where I could go back to school was an adventure, but I eventually made it happen because I knew where I belonged was helping to shape the minds students.
Aside from helping others and inspiring students, other hobbies of mine include figure skating, roller derby, art, and travelling. I have stories from exciting trips all over the world, including Spain, Italy, and Thailand – and I soon hope to add China to my list. Travelling is something I’m very passionate about, and I believe my exposure and understanding of different cultures will help me in the classroom to be able to relate to my students in a genuine, empathetic way.
Graduating from the Education program from the University of Windsor in 2024, I look forward to helping the children of tomorrow learn to grow and succeed in the world.
